Adam worked really hard learning his multiplication and division facts this year. That hard work paid off and earned him a ticket to a High School baseball game. It was a tricky night because Angie had class until 7:30, David made the district track team and had his district track meet and Adam had a high school baseball game.
We made it work. Greg took David to the track meet with Adam. David ran his first race and won district! Then Greg took Adam to the baseball game. Angie met Adam there while Greg went back to the track meet and watched David's second event, where he placed third.
Angie was disappointed to miss David running. But she made it to see Adam before he got to run onto the field with the baseball players.
All of the fourth graders ran out for the National Anthem. Most ran to first base or the pitcher's mound. Adam ran straight to third base, all by himself, When Angie asked him about that choice he had a reason.
A favorite character from a favorite book series plays third base and Adam wanted to see third base.
