Trick Or Treat

Even after showing David videos of himself trick or treating from last year and pretending to trick or treat at home for weeks, he did not want to go walk the neighborhood.  In his mind he would rather sit in the front yard and eat the candy we already had at our house...

eating the lolli-pop he was promised if he ate his dinner...

Daddy even dressed up this year!
some of our neighbors dropped bu since we were just sitting in the yard

Suzie was able to convince David to trick-or-treat, so we all walked across the street
David got these stickers and said,"I like my treat, lets go to the next house."

David was very good at saying, "Trick or Treat" when the door opened.  He almost always remembered to say thank you and then followed it with Happy Halloween.  He did all of this on his own, we are so proud of him!
He looked so little walking up to the houses by himself.
Most of our neighbors let David choose his own candy, this takes a two year old that does not really have favorite candies a long time to make a choice.  How patient they all were!
Back to our house, David saw our Elmo pumpkin and said, "We are back home!"
Several of our neighbors thought David had the cutest costume and the cutest personality, we would agree.

Next up,  it was time to see what he had collected in that pumpkin of his...

He chose to try another lolli-pop
Then he unwrapped several more - jack pot!
After sampling the candy and handing out a little candy himself it was time for our fire fighter to turn into a pumpkin and head to bed.

What a fun night!  Happy Halloween.
