National Night Out

Tonight was National Night Out and our neighborhood threw a fun party.  We had bounce houses, games, balloon creations, dinner, Round Rock Police, State Troopers, Fire Department, EMS, Spike from the Round Rock Express and even the K-9 unit.  David has been looking forward to "The Party in the Park" for a couple of weeks.  We spent a good hour and a half at the park  with our evening ending with all of the kids getting sprayed down with the fire fighter hoses.  David walked home soaking wet and Adam was carrying his balloon sword.  We enjoyed visiting with neighbors and spending time together outside unplugged as a family!
The night began with the Color Guard presenting the flag and a neighbor singing the National Anthem - David was so sweet with his hand over his heart and Adam was directing the music with his little finger!

On to the games - this was David's favorite... we played it many times tonight!

David and his friend Pierce had a little conversation - fun to watch David begin to "socialize."

David pretending here to be on American Ninja Warrior!

He even posed like the athletes do at the end!

Simple activities that produce innocent smiles are the best!
Spike!  Adam waned nothing to do with Spike by the way.
David loved that the police dog even has a badge... she wears it on her collar.  Adam did make his way over to this dog a couple of time to pet her, but it was not caught on camera.

Adam even wanted to play this game.  He would go set up the ball launcher, walk the ball to the hole, and throw it in!

A great night to get to visit with neighbors and keep our neighborhood safe!
