Angels Afoot

Today Angie took the boys shopping for two little boys - a one year old and a three year old - that are in the foster care system.  Our church provides gifts for 3000 children every year in the foster care system that are not in foster homes just yet.  Explaining this to David each year is hard and he has many questions, but it is always easy to see that he does have some compassion for these children that are not with their Mommy or Daddy.
We headed to Target with our lists in hand and walked out with only things for others.  We played with many toys and snapped pictures of things we may want to ask Santa to make, but never once did Angie hear, "I want this." Or "Want" from Adam.
Through this giving we hope that one day these children will ultimately be lead to know the greatest gift of Jesus.  And we hope that David continues to understand that he is able to bless someone else in even the smallest of ways.
