Terrific Texan

Last week David was Terrific Texas at school.  Thanks to Aunt Christie he had a very cute poster.  She made the cowboy, lasso, and stars to decorate his poster with.  David was able to present his work to his class on Monday.

The teacher then hangs it in the hall for all to see who walk by.

His family is asked to write a letter to him and send it in.  It is a surprise and is read to the child in front of his classmates.

On Wednesday the family is invited to lunch.  All week David is the line leader and the special helper.  Adam was able to join David at the front of the line on the way to lunch.

 Friends!

Thursday David was able to bring something for show and tell.

Then on Friday all of his classmates write a letter to him and his teacher turns that into a book.

What a special week for each child in the class and a great way to continue to build community.
