Spring Break 2018

The Rodeo was actually the last day of our spring break.  On Monday we drove to Houston to spend the week with Angie's family...
We drove to her parents first and the cousins were waiting for us!  After being in the car all afternoon it was nice to have outside time!

After dark Grandad brought everyone in and gave them little goodies from his friend that works at the US treasury department.

Then it was time for a cousin sleep over... and they actually all slept.

The next morning the goodies from Grandad were still a hit!

Before leaving for our excursion for the day we took pictures around Gram and Grandad's yard with all of their beautiful flowers.

Then we were all off to the San Jacinto Monument.  David has been studying Sam Houston at school and had questions - so we took a little visit.  Everyone enjoyed it except Adam.  He repeated, "This museum is not for me."

We went up to the top of the monument... I can't imagine fighting a war in that marsh.

On the way home we decided to take the ferry.  Our boys have never been on one and enjoyed it.

On Wednesday, we headed to The Woodlands to a fun and crowded park.  Our boys loved it!

We stopped for an afternoon cold treat before going back to Aunt Christie's house.
More time enjoying the beautiful weather.
 racing cousins...

 racing Sugar...

 Sugar tied everyone up!
 Outside art time...

These two pulled weeds and earned money for their work...
And we all enjoyed one last evening together...

Thursday was Rodeo day and then we headed back to Austin.
Thanks Arisman/Philpot families for a great week.
