The Pandemic

We have now been quarantined for about 10 days. Angie has been working from home and Greg is still treating patients at his clinic.  The boys are doing well.  Most of the time they are enjoying each other.
Angie has been getting up at 5:00 to stand at HEB in line for groceries. She has been anywhere from first in line to about 50th.  She has done this 4 times in the last week so that she can try and get what we need, be home for work and the boys.
Yesterday was hard.  Angie was on calls from 9:00 in the morning until after 7:00 last night.  She really had no time to give to the boys and while they were good and took care of each other it’s hard to watch them and give them no attention
The weather here has been a clue into how this week played out.  We started our pandemic in very cold ten with rain.  This week finished up with highs in the 90’s and the boys in swim suits.
4 mornings in line at HEB... this was th line as Angie left one morning...

The first day in everyone slept, except Mama...
Boys have been spending lots of time enjoying each other.  Angie found David reading to Adam one afternoon in Adam's room.
Angie has been teathered to her computer in meetings all day long like this...
We have been on lots and lots of walks!

The boys have had assignments from Angie...
here they are learning some government... they each had to fill out their section of the 2020 census.

Art projects so that Angie can see the boys from the office while she works...

View from the inside...
Inside art projects... these came from Gram and Grandad on Valentine's Day...
One morning math was taking inventory of the pantry.  Making a grocery list.  Creating a budget for needed items.

Lots of reading time...
Adam decided to make his own calendar... it doesn't matter that there are only 7 days in a week - sometimes they don't want to be have a teacher mom - they just want a mom...
multiple days of rainy walks...

Dress up!

warming up by the fire...

Fun with Holly...
Church for 2 weeks has been on our couch...
Grandpa Ed brought over donuts...

Greg gave David a haircut...
The boys made Uncle Eddie a cake on his birthday...

They used Grandad's plastic to make a "Slip n' Slide."

Our school room has become very unorganized...

Adam had his scooter taken from the park.  A friend brought over a surprise replacement.
Kona Ice showed up on a very hot 93 degree evening... we tried to social distance as we waited.
The boys watched Dinosaur George and then tried an experiment.

It has been a very busy week.

  1. I LOVE David's haircut!!! Very sweet of them to make Uncle Eddie a cake. You have been taking a lot of photos for being so busy. I've barely taken any over these last few days. I guess I should.

  2. Homeschooling looks like bunches of fun learning going on! So sad :( that Adam's scooter was taken but so thoughtful :)of a friend to bring him a replacement. David looks so much older with the haircut Greg gave him. Stay well!
