For a few years Adam has been asking to go back to the beach. The last time we were at a beach Adam was three and David was 6. However, Adam remembers the beach with really good memories of a shark on the beach, the ice cream truck coming by daily, and a beach house.
We left Monday afternoon for Crosby and after 20 of driving down 290 without incident we had a hiccup on this trip. About an hour into our trip a truck hit our car, once where David was sitting, and once where Adam was sitting. The driver was driving on the shoulder of the road as we were going 70 mph down 290. The driver never stopped, but another driver did to check on us and give us his information for the police if a witness was needed. We had a long, unexpected stop, but we were safe and made it to Crosby without any other issues... other than a big cost of repairs.
We made it to Crosby and started playing! Tuesday morning Grandad brought home donuts for breakfast!
It was a rainy Tuesday so we played at Gram and Grandads... this his his newest - bigger, better, pond.
Between the rain we went for a short swim at the pool!
Grandad, even swam.
Luke taught David how to dive! Gram and Grandads pool is 14 feet deep.
Cousins!
Cannonball!
A pretty good dive!
Then it started raining - so we headed home.
Gram took some for ice cream treats!Beautiful Painters!
After dinner - there was some dress up time...
And Clue!
Tuesday morning Gram was outside and found a tiny baby frog that the boys played...
Then we headed to the beach... Adam was so happy to be back at the beach. He was immediately in the water as we arrived.
Riding the waves - ALL DAY LONG!
Someone - might have wanted to play instead of take a picture - can you guess who?
There were sandcastles built... with moats.
And seaweed was found with shrimp hangin' on... Lila and Aunt Christie discovered the shrimp.
We had lunch and ice cream at about the same time...
After a long day we headed to dinner at our favorite mexican restaurant. Peso's. Luke and David wore shirts just like the employees. These shirts were Christmas gifts from Gram years ago and the boys decided to wear them to dinner. As we walked in David announced" I am late for my shift, but I am here." Luke wasn't quite as outgoing.
As we finished dinner the owners son brought Luke and David brooms to get to work - it was almost closing time.
This little guy couldn't be left out!
David would love a job here... not sure about Luke!
