Half Marathon

Angie ran her third half marathon on Sunday.  She ran this one alone which was actually more fun than she anticipated.  It was perfect race weather and this course is always great until miles 11,12,13 - when it is all up hill... even to the finish line.  The best part  - the boys and Greg met her to run her into the finish line - all three of them, running alongside at the hardest part of the race.

Friday night we went to the race expo to pick up Angie's packet and bib... the boys had fun.

Holly went also...

The boys found Angie's name on the runners wall... and David took Angie's pictures in front of it and even told her hoe to stand...

Adam especially loved being downtown at night and asked if we could go play at Auditorium Shores - it was pitch black... we told him we would have to plan for that another time.

Race Day - Angie waiting to start with 6,000 other people - the starting line is the white arch in the distance.

A friend saw Angie at mile 7 - it was a surprise to see a spectator she knew on the course...

The end of the course, about 2 miles, runs through UT up to the capital - this is a nice flat part to savor...

These boys were so excited to run Angie into the finish line...

Greg snapped  pictures as Angie finished the race...

Angie finished in 2 hours and 21 minutes - about 10 minutes slower than 3 years ago, the last time she ran this race...

Here is how fast each mile went...
Finished...
A fun tour of the city...
