This was great because we had yet to see the new baby outside of the NICU. We were very careful to keep David away from other children so that we would all be well; unfortunately it did not work. David had a very runny nose beginning two days before their arrival date. Christie being a trooper packed everyone up and came any way. Angie's parents decided to come too - after all their grandchildren had never been all together - they were not going to miss it. We decided to have team David and team Lila. If you were taking care of David you could not hold Lila. Needless to say we never held Lila, maybe next time!
Here are some highlights from the visit.
David missed Cousin Luke
He watched Luke's every move
David and Lila finally meet. David did everything he could to touch her. Maybe our next visit they can both play together.
Grandad and Uncle Greg made smores
Luke thought they were delicious
we spent some time at the park
we rode the train in the mall
the carousal is David's favorite - we could not pass it up
sweet Lila was content through it all
we made Valentine's cookies
Luke and his best bud Bella spent lots of time together. In fact the week that the Philpot's left Luke was to bring a picture of his family to his preschool. When Christie asked Luke which picture he wanted to take - he chose a picture of himself with Bella. When his teacher asked Luke about his dog he told her, "It's Uncle Greg's dog."
Gram and Grandad had lots of time with their three grandchildren
It was a fun time that went by way too fast. Luke was saying this morning that he is sad he can't run with Bella now because he has a broken arm. I told him that his arm would be better the next time we see Bella. He was glad.
ReplyDeleteYep, Family Fun!!! Yes, we had a terrific time with all! Now, we cannot wait to see David crawl. Thanks for having us - especially you Greg.
ReplyDeleteOH-that was Grandad's and Gram's message. OOPS!
