David is very verbal and beginning to make true conversations. I am beginning to forget some of those funny little things he says, so here is my attempt to capture a couple that I remember from this past week!
Driving in the car one morning-
David: turn this way Mommy
Angie: ok
David: thats it Mommy
Angie: thank you David
David: No problem Mommy, turn this way Mommy,( pointing to a curve in the road)
Angie: thank you
David: you got it Mommy
Angie: David you are a great helper
David: No Problem
At a restaurant one night I chose a booth towards the back hoping no one would sit around us. David is loud and usually prefers to stand to eat his meals.
Well we were in our spot for a few minutes when another family chose to sit behind us. This family had about an 11 year old son. The following occurred:
David: Boy, What's your name ( in a very loud voice)
Boy: (remains silent)
David: Boy, WHATS YOUR NAME (louder voice)
Angie: (I pull David back down into the booth) sometimes we don't learn others names because they are strangers and there are some strangers we just don't talk to
David: OH, OK
David: (standing back up), STRANGER WHATS YOUR NAME? (loudest voice he has)
Angie: (Pulls David back down) eat your dinner David
David: (looking around the restaurant) that stranger eats his dinner, that stranger eats her dinner, that stranger eats his dinner etc....
we packed up our dinner to go and David missed the point of stranger danger
David - "Mr. Outgoing"
ReplyDeleteI guess he doesn't really understand stranger since David "never meets a stranger." He does talk to anyone - simply amazing.
Love you David and keep up the conversations,
Gram
