Last night Angie and the boys went to the Rodeo in her hometown. Gram and Grandad bought the tickets and Angie, Christie and their families got to go back to a place Angie went as a kid. David really liked it. Adam told Grandad, "David likes the rodeo. I only came because I knew I would get a souvenir." He is our honest one. They both had a good time however. We got to see family and a fun rodeo.
We arrived early so the boys were able to see the calves used for the calf scramble...
the horses used for roping
and the sheep used for "Mutton Bustin"
Gram introduced the cousins to a police officer that also works at her school...
Time to Start the rodeo...
Lila was so excited when the young girl "posse" came out and did their tricks to start off the rodeo...
After the rodeo there is a concert. This was Adam's favorite part. You get to dance in the arena... or in his case play tag.
Grandad played with all of the kids and let them play "bull"
Sunday morning the boys woke up early. First they got out Gram's farm toys and played rodeo. Then they got on her stick horses and went out and "explored."
Tying up their horses to take a picture with gram and Grandad...
Both boys love Grandad's pond and fish...
It was a full and fun 24 hours!
