Cameron Park Zoo

It has been a little over a year since we took a trip to the zoo.  So, Saturday we decided to skip Stroller Strides and head to Waco to the Cameron Park Zoo.  We had a lovely Saturday and the weather was perfect for our little excursion.
David saying "Zoo."
Off to see the animals...

viewing the tortoise exhibit... David can see better without his hat in the way...
David thought these two were talking to each other...

One of David's favorite exhibits was the alligator exhibit.  This guy swam right over to David.
Viewing the large alligator in the "swamp."

The cougar was sunning

The otters put on quite a show
And David enjoyed sliding through this exhibit.  The otters swim right over the slide.

 David spotted the Cheetah
again another animal sunning in the beautiful weather
The Buffalo were much larger than we remembered
David saw many families taking a snack break.  He wanted to take a break too...

Studying the map with Daddy deciding what we should visit

Daddy's favorite animal~ We were able to watch two different elephants eating, drinking, and playing with a large log.  This was lots of fun to watch!
 Observing the Rhino's
David told us seeing the Giraffe was his favorite.
This cute little Mirkat was housed right next to...

these very loud lions, but at the time they were napping
David was thinking about nap time too
until he discovered children having fun
 on the playground!

A fun day at the zoo!

  1. Wow! What a fun zoo! The alligator has such clear water. That's neat you can see so many of the animals so close. Looks like David had a great time.
