Tuesday David visited a farm in Georgetown. He was able to pet chickens, feed the horses, and rake the hay. He had a great time!
Fresh Farm Eggs
Horses - which he was able to feed "green peppermint" - aka grass
taking a break on the hay
peeking at the pigs
David's idea to clean up a little around there, he is a great helper!
petting the chickens
feeding the chickens
and a trip to Starbucks on the way home!
Wednesday is story time at the library. This week the theme was bugs. David made a very cute Bee.
He was also another great helper this week for the story. Mimi said David was able to follow directions and he did wait his turn to add his specific colored bug when it came up in the story.
Friday was a big day for David. Mimi took him to a new fire station this week. Before heading out they baked some cookies to take with them to the fire station.David actually was able to take a ride in the fire truck. He was given a choice by the fire fighter to ride in the front or back. He chose the back. The very nice fire fighter let David wear the head phones and talked to David on their short little trip. David has talked about this several times... it made a big impression on this little boy!
The truck is moving...
David was also able to check out the hoses... this one sprays foam...
and this one sprays water...
David also had questions about the ambulance. He was able to look inside and then he "rode" on the back.A busy and fun week for such a little boy!
What a fun week! Did he invite the firefighters to his party?
ReplyDeleteWOW! What a lucky boy! A field trip week with Mimi. I had a little girl in my class tell me she went on a field trip with her Grandpa and had a picnic. Grandparents are special. May be this Summer we can go on field trips together, too.
ReplyDeleteLove you bunches, Grandad and Gram
