Thursday evening dinner consisted of a choice of left overs or tuna fish sandwiches. David and Greg both chose the tuna. Upon finishing his dinner David asked to be excused from the table. We excused him, but then David wanted a playmate and asked us to join him. After explaining that we would play after we finished our dinner David said, " Daddy can I have a bite of your sandwich?" Greg leaned down to offer David a bite and then David very quickly snatched the sandwich and ran with all of his speed to dump it in the trash can. Then David turned around looked at Greg and said, "There you are all finished." David thought he was going to get a playmate faster, but instead had to wait for Greg to make and eat another sandwich. - Oh the mind of a two year old.

While driving in the car Thursday this was the conversation -
David: My Daddy likes coffee
Angie: Yes, he does
David: You don't like coffee. You like tea.
Angie: That is true, Mommy does like tea.
David: I like fresh coffee
Angie: You like fresh coffee? What is fresh David?
David: Well, um, probably like ( in his tiniest voice) a little bit
He knows many many words and uses them correctly, but every once in a while if you question the meaning he is a little off. Love the mind of a two year old.
What a problem solver! We thoroughly enjoy David's thought provoking conversations. Soon we will be able to have a few conversations with David, too! See y'all tomorrow.
