Houston Rodeo

Gram and Grandad took everyone to the Rodeo while we visited this week.  We all had a great time.  David was most excited about the "John Deer's"
Ready for the day to begin!

Sweet Lila ready for the Rodeo!
We began our day at the petting zoo

Then off to see the baby chicks
Mommy and David at the Turkey's
And one of David's favorites... Fun on the Farm
The kids are given a seed to plant, they, plant it and water it.

 David grew an onion...
Next up, the tractors!  David could have stayed here all day.  There was a screen inside that looked like he was driving the tractor plowing his fields.

Next job on the farm was to feed his chickens and collect the eggs...
 Off to harvest the corn...
 And milk the cows

Shaving the wool off of the lamb...
Turning in all of his good to the market
He was paid one dollar for his labor and with that he chose to buy some raisins, a great snack!
Next up Gram and Grandad treated the kids to a pony ride.  This was probably the favorite of the day!

On to the carnival.  Gram paid for David to play a fishing game...
where he won a new sword!
Uncle Brian and Aunt Christie treated David to a four wheeler ride, David called it his red tractor.
He did not want to get off
There were so many other things we wanted to see and do, but time ran out and naps were in order
Back at Aunt Christie's David rode a real red 4 wheeler

And we enjoyed another wonderful afternoon outdoors... And yes David is wearing Lila's shoes here

 And Lila's shoes here

Family Fun, there is nothing like it!
